Deltamed, represented by the President Giorgio Piazza and the Secretary Sergio Grego, participated to an important technical visit to Morocco organized by the Triveneta Association of Land Reclamation Executives held from 6 to 13 February.

During the trip, the participants were able to visit numerous sites of interest for the themes that form the core of Deltamed’s activity.

Worthy of note, in this regard, is the desalination plant built by the Ministère de l’Equipement et de l’Eau for the irrigation of the Chtouka plain, near Agadir; the Noor Power Station solar park, one of the largest solar power generation sites in the world; the Toudgha and Kaddoussa dams, which serve important irrigation basins.

The visit also led to the establishment of technical and scientific collaboration between two Veneto land reclamation consortia, the Consorzio Acque Risorgive and the Consorzio Brenta, and two Moroccan counterparts, the Agence du Bassin Hydraulique de Draa Oued Noun and the Agence du Bassin Hydraulique de Souss-Massa which, as part of the Deltamed General Assembly, held in San Donà di Piave on 20 October,  have resulted in the signing of as many partnership and collaboration agreements.
