On June 20th, 21st and 22nd, a delegation made up of honourable Mr. Josep Rull, a counsellor of Territori i Sostenibilitat (Territory and Sustainability) of Generalitat de Catalunya (the Catalan Government); Mr. Lluís Soler Panisello, the mayor of Deltebre; Mr. Manuel Masià Marsà, the Chairman of Comunidad General de Regantes del Canal de la Derecha del Ebro; Mr. Francisco Casanova Santamaria, the Chairman of the Junta de Gobierno del Sindicato Agrícola del Ebro and Mr. Enrique García Sabaté, Deltamed Director, together with some other authorities involved in the territory problems, visited the Po Delta (Italy).

The aim of this visit was to study the delta defence that has been applied in the Po Delta to prevent the sea from invading the coast and to preserve the coastline without creating an environmental or visual impact.
