On 12th of September a delegation of the Association went to Egypt to see the good progress of the work of improvement that are being doing on the varieties of Spanish and Italian rice. We observe the state of the different crossing lines that had been made with different varieties of rice to get resistant lines to salinity and Pyriculariosis. Some of them in the state F4 twhich they should have done for the selection to get the latest phase F5.

In general the appearance showed by the different lines give a very encouraging impression.
